Every so often, I hear the question being thrown around, "What is the Citizen Kane of video games?" I'm sure plenty of people have tried to answer the question. I read one article saying that Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii was the closest to being compared to what is often considered the best film of all time. I've also read an article that briefly mentioned The Last of Us as being the best game for the comparison.

I've always viewed Citizen Kane as a movie that wasn't just very good but also very innovative and very influential. Although I can't pick a single game that BEST fits these three features, I'm pretty sure it would have to be something from Shigeru Miyamoto. I think where video game developers are concerned, he's the guy who's released, on average, the best, most innovative, and most influential games in history. So if you want a Citizen Kane of the video game world, just go through his library of games and pick your favorite. Chances are it's either a Mario game or a Legend of Zelda game, honestly.

It’s not as often that I hear, "What is the 2001: A Space Odyssey of video games?" Well, I'm here to ask AND answer that question.

I'm a little late in posting this. I've actually updated my year old adventure map, An Amazing Journey.

I've made it a bit easier, especially in the beginning areas, and I've made some small tweaks here and there to make the game more interesting.

I'm still working on the sequel but I've taken a bit of a break on it to work on a secret project involving Earthbound.

Okay, I'm finished with my adventure map for Minecraft... for the most part, anyway. View my previous posts for more info.

But before I make this final version public, I was hoping to get some testers to play through it, in and out, and provide me with some kind of feedback. I'm mostly looking for information regarding difficulty, balance, puzzle-design choices, and so on.

Wow, I guess I haven't posted here in a while.

My brother and I began work on a project that would involve drawing some comics, and eventually some cartoons, featuring zombies trying to act civilized (and ultimately failing) in a world they now rule. Well, neither of us are artists so we haven't been able to get the comics part going but my brother is good with music so he put the theme song for these Zombie Vignettes together. I just slapped together a slide show to help present this theme. Hope you like it.
